OneKind values your support and respects your privacy. We only hold data that you provide, and we hold it securely. We do not sell or share information with others, and you can easily change how we communicate with you, update your contact details by calling us on 0131 661 9734 or by emailing info@onekind.org.
What information does OneKind hold?
OneKind holds data that you provide, including your contact details and communication preferences. This allows us to communicate with our supporters, which is essential to the success of our campaigns and wider work to end cruelty to Scotland’s animals. We also hold a record of your engagement with OneKind including, for example, what petitions you have signed or merchandise you have brought. This means we can tailor our communications with you, making us more efficient and effective. All data is held securely and in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Will OneKind pass on your information to anyone else?
OneKind does not share, sell or rent any data.
When you are using our secure online donation pages or ordering goods from our secure online shop, your donation is processed by third party payment processors (Worldpay), who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions.
If you have signed an online action (such as a petition or letter) some of the details you have filled in will be sent to the recipient.
How will you communicate with me?
You can choose how OneKind communicates with you here.
Email communications include campaign news, a monthly newsletter and fundraising appeals. You can also subscribe to OneKind Animal Advocates emails, which are for our supporters who want to join in with our campaigns in more depth by, for example, writing letters and emails and helping with social media campaigns.
Other than our membership magazine, which is posted three times a year, OneKind only uses post on special occasions, so if you choose to receive mail you can expect an average of two mailings a year.
Can I see what data you hold on me?
Sure! We are currently setting up a secure online supporter hub that will allow you to do this instantly. In the meantime if you would like a complete copy of this information just get in touch and we will provide this as soon as possible (email info@onekind.org or call 0131 661 9734)
Can you delete my record?
Of course, although we’ll be sad to see you go. Please just email info@onekind.org or call 0131 661 9734 and your record will be deleted as soon as possible.
