This Christmas, animals will suffer at the hands of humans – whether it’s puppies raised in abject conditions and sold as gifts, foxes hunted on Boxing Day in the name of tradition, or hares gunned down in the name of protecting Scotland’s sporting estates.
This cruelty will continue until we end it – donate to our Christmas appeal and make 2018 the year that Scotland’s animals ROAR!
Animals need you this Christmas. Let’s make 2018 the year we roar for Scotland’s animals! #RoarForAnimals
This Christmas, animals will suffer at the hands of humans.
Newborn puppies will be taken from their mothers, packed into vans and smuggled into Scotland to be sold as Christmas presents. Foxes will be torn apart by the Boxing Day hunts, whose ‘tradition’ continues because of a weak, loophole-ridden ban. Hares will be gunned down by the thousands, just to protect hunting interests on Scotland’s vast shooting estates.
But this cruelty isn’t just for Christmas. It’s for life.
Unless we stop it. Unless we speak out for animals against the despicable cruelty to wildlife, pets and farm animals that stains Scotland’s reputation.
Because when we come together and speak out, we have a serious impact. We end cruelty for good. Here’s just three examples of what we’ve been able to achieve together in 2017:
Together, we put a stop to snaring mountain hares.
Together, we united everyone behind a ban on wild animals in circuses.
Together, we secured a commitment to introducing CCTV into abattoirs.
At OneKind, we’re excited about what we’re able to do together. Inspired by the thought of mountain hares, elephants, and cows that will no longer suffer thanks to our efforts. We hope you feel the same, because these successes are your successes, because everything we do is funded by animal-lovers like you.
But we still have so much to do if we’re to end cruelty to Scotland’s animals. Across this country there are still countless ways that humans are abusing animals; mountain hare persecution, grouse moor management, fox control, hunting, puppy profiteering, to name but a few. Will you donate to our Christmas appeal, so we can stand together, united, and be the loud strong voice that animals in Scotland need?
2018. The year we ROAR for Scotland’s animals.
The hunting lobby has a powerful voice in Scotland. A voice they use to make sure their fun isn’t threatened by animal protection laws. So do the puppy profiteers, and the meat industry.
OneKind gives Scotland’s animals their voice. We expose cruelty and speak out for animals. But our voice is only as strong as you make it, and it needs to be stronger. Because imagine what we could do in 2018 if it was.
Fox hunting banned. For real.
Mountain hares left in peace.
Farm animals protected
Puppy farms closed.
All of this is possible if we work together. By making a donation to our Christmas appeal you’re giving Scotland’s animals a voice against cruelty. In 2018, let’s make that voice a ROAR!
