Donate cryptocurrency and help protect animals!
Donate cryptocurrency and help fund our campaign and investigations which end cruelty to animals. OneKind could not continue working hard to give animals the protection they deserve without your support. You can amplify animalsʹ voices with a gift today.
What is cryptocurrency?
A cryptocurrency is a digital or virtual currency that can be used online.
Why we need your support
Our vision is a world in which non-human animals are recognised as individuals and respected for their capacities and priorities. These are different to, but not lesser than ours. When you make a donation, you will be directly contributing to our work to protect wildlife, companion and farmed animals, and animals used in scientific research and entertainment.
OneKind must raise £300,000 each year to fund our current level of work. The wins we have achieved over the years for animals are only thanks to generous supporters. OneKind relies on donations in order to continue campaigning for animals’ protection.
How cryptocurrency can help create a kinder world for animals
There are more than 220 million crypto users worldwide, who donate $300 million in cryptocurrency each year. The value of many cryptocurrencies is rising. Therefore the community is in a position to create a huge impact for charities. We believe that accepting cryptocurrency donations will help us reach new supporters, and ultimately increase our income. This means we will be able to fund even more campaigns. We are lucky to have lots of different supporters, who really want to make a difference for animals, and we want to make supporting our work accessible to everyone.
We are always looking for new ways for people to support our work to protect animals, and Covid 19 also pushed us to get creative and develop new ideas, to ensure we could maintain our current level of work. It was important to us that animals were not left behind.

We use ‘The Giving Block’ to accept cryptocurrency donations and you can make your donation via our widget. Firstly, choose which cryptocurrency you wish to donate and enter your gift amount. Finally, a wallet address will be generated for your donation which is linked directly to our wallet.
Is it safe and legal to donate cryptocurrency?
Yes. There are no current legal restrictions on merchants accepting cryptocurrency donations in the UK. HMRC has published guidance on the handling of such donations, which OneKind comply with. You can read that guidance at Tax on cryptoassets – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
- Cryptocurrencies work using blockchain security. A blockchain relies on networks of thousands of computers to verify transactions. It is therefore almost impossible to break the security.
- OneKind has custody and liquidity provided by Gemini, a licensed trust company regulated by the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYSDFS), a world leader in cryptocurrency security and regulatory compliance.
- OneKind complies with the FRS 102 accounting policy which ensures our cryptocurrency donations are accounted for and measured accurately.
Please send the exact cryptocurrency listed on the blockchain mentioned on the widget. Do not send any other cryptocurrencies (including layer 2, wrapped tokens, NFTs or other ERC-20 tokens not listed). These are unsupported and may result in loss of donation. For more info, click here.
OneKind’s policy on crypto donation refunds
All cryptocurrency donations made via The Giving Block are non-refundable. Every token that is donated is put to work as quickly as possible. As these donations are often immediately converted into fiat, we do not offer refunds on any donations that are made in cryptocurrency. We are unable to give refunds if you have changed your mind or sent the wrong cryptocurrency. OneKind does not, has not, and will never offer any form of cryptocurrency airdrop, goods, or services in return for a donation.
