This year, we thought it would be extra special for a supporter to design one of our cards. We received over 50 entries, which were filled with imagination and creativity. It was very difficult to choose. The winner was Ann Johnson whose unique design features a fox in a winter scene, made from recycled paper. You can view Ann’s other work on her website here.
Artist Kate Louise Powell designed one of last year’s favourites which is back by popular demand. Kate’s card depicts two beautiful foxes. You can take a look at some of Kate’s other artwork which is available to buy from our shop here.
Foxes are a favourite among OneKind supporters and have featured in many of our campaigns; to end the use of traps and snares on grouse moors and other areas but also our ongoing campaign to finally ban fox hunting.
In June this year, we were delighted when MSPs voted to recognise mountain hares as a protected species which will end the mass culling of this iconic species. This year, artist and friend to OneKind, Jan Ferguson has donated a new image of this beautiful animal, completing our collection for this year.
Jan also has other gifts available to buy through our website.
We also still have some highland cow cards remaining from last year. The beautiful image was kindly donated to us by photographer James Moore. There are only a few of these ones left.
You can support Scotland’s animals by sending your friends and family a OneKind Christmas card! Every pound from the cards goes towards our investigations, campaigns and helps us demand better protection for Scotland’s animals. 10 cards with envelopes in each pack.
