Hunting wild mammals with dogs has been established as seriously compromising the welfare of the hunted animal. This led the Scottish Parliament to pass the Protection of Wild Mammals (Scotland) Act 2002, intended to ban hunting with dogs. This briefing was produced to highlight the need for the Act to be reviewed.
