My name is Allie, and I’m a OneKind member and volunteer. I wanted to share with readers why I have supported OneKind for more than three years now, and why I am certain that the funds I donate to OneKind are truly making an impact for Scotland’s animals.
Like you, I have been passionate about animals and their welfare since before I can remember – I feel frustrated that animals are given no voice and are instead subjected to so much harm at the hands of humans. We should be sharing our world with these beautiful creatures, not causing them pain and suffering.
I care equally about all animals, but it particularly upsets me to see how many people feel entitled to the companionship of dogs or cats, and see no problem with causing them pain through tail docking, or electric shock collars, as an example.
I’m glad that OneKind is fighting to change the law in Scotland to end these cruel practices, and campaigning to shed light on the abject conditions of puppy farms and the dog breeding industry.
I have spent time in the OneKind office in Edinburgh and seen firsthand how dedicated their team is, and the way that funds are directly put into campaigns. I can also see how much more impact they could have with more resources, and that’s why I’m asking you to donate to OneKind’s Christmas appeal today.
If you aren’t sure about donating, pick up the phone and chat to the team or go in and visit them. Their work and passion is so evident from speaking to them, and they will happily answer any questions you might have.
Will you join me in making 2018 the year that Scotland’s animals ROAR?
